Presentations

Codumentor can open, create, and edit PowerPoint presentations (.pptx / .pptm) directly in the conversation. There's no separate slide viewer — you describe what you want in chat, and the assistant reads the deck's structure and makes the changes with dedicated editing tools.

Opening a presentation

Ask the assistant to open a presentation from a repository, and it will read the deck's outline (slide titles, layouts, and notes) before making changes.

"Open repo/decks/pitch.pptx and update the numbers on slide 4 to match the Q3 report."

By default the assistant edits the file in place; ask it to save to a different path if you want to keep the original untouched. .pptm files round-trip with their macros intact.

Creating a new deck

Ask for a new presentation and the assistant builds it slide by slide, using the layouts available on the theme rather than freehand text boxes — this keeps fonts, colors, and placeholder positions consistent no matter how the deck ends up looking.

"Create a new presentation at repo/decks/overview.pptx with a title slide and three content slides about our Q1 roadmap."

If you have a corporate template, mention it — the assistant can start the new deck from that template's theme, layouts, and slide size instead of picking colors by hand.

"Build this deck from our template at repo/templates/brand.potx."

New decks default to a 16:9 slide size unless a template says otherwise.

What the assistant can edit

Once a presentation is open, the assistant can:

Saving and downloading

Nothing is written to disk until the assistant explicitly saves. Once it does, the conversation shows a Presentation saved card with the slide count and a Download button for the file.

Limits you should know about

Presentations up to 50 MB can be opened. Embedded images are capped at 20 MB each, and a single text/notes search returns at most 200 matches. The assistant can only open presentations that already live in one of your repositories — files attached from your local machine (see Attachments) aren't supported as a source for presentation editing.

This feature may not be available in all setups. If the assistant can't open or edit a presentation for you, it may not be enabled by your administrator.
