Conversation Commands Plugin
This plugin contributes conversation-lifecycle slash commands. The first
command is /clear: start a new conversation and switch to it. The
previous conversation stays in the sidebar and remains auditable.
To contribute your own commands, see Plugin Commands.
/clear uses the same conversation service as New conversation. It does
not delete or rewrite event history. A future destructive erase, if needed,
should be a differently named command with confirmation.
It is a builtin, not a config-listed plugin. Do not add it to
plugins:. Override behaviour with a top-levelconversation_commands:
section. Listing it underplugins:is ignored (already registered).
Using /clear
Type /clear at the start of the composer (or pick it from the /
suggestion list) while a conversation is open and no turn is running.
The composer navigates to the new conversation. The old one is unchanged.
Configuration
conversation_commands:
enabled: true
| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
enabled | bool | true | Advertise /clear. Set false to hide the command. |
Notes
/clearisidle_only: it is rejected while a turn is active so it cannot enter the "Stop & Send" path.- Clients invoke the stable id
conversation_commands.clear. Typed/clearis resolved on the server. - Retrying the same
invocation_iddoes not create a second conversation. - Compacting context without starting a turn is
/compact, contributed by Context Summarization, not this plugin.
